Benefits and Opportunities:
The pay for this position is very reasonable for a full-time, seasonal position in such a popular national park.  Staff members are provided with housing, a cafeteria, and wifi.  The housing includes dorm style living with a roommate, bunk beds, closets, community style bathrooms and possibly other amenities such as a desk. A room and board fee is taken out of each paycheck.

Recreational opportunities are a major benefit of this position.  By living in Yellowstone National Park, employees are able to hike, swim, recreate and enjoy the park for free.  I greatly enjoyed having this large park as my backyard for 3 and a half months.

Achievements:
By fulfilling this internship I have gained an immense amount of knowledge for both my career and personal life.  I now understand the responsibilities and workings behind managing a lodging operation.
I consider being promoted to a supervisor as one of my greatest achievements because I was given the ability to manage problems and staff members.
A major accomplishment for our team was opening 3 new lodges in August.  We went from having 181 rooms to over 400 rooms with the same goal of offering exceptional customer service.
Overall I have learned a great amount about myself by completing this internship and living in Yellowstone National Park.  I know this experience will only benefit me in the future.
